Sandbox

During the last couple days of spring break Kevin worked on a sandbox for Ethan. He got it finished, now we just need some sand and a lid to keep the neighborhood cats out.

Here is a picture of his handiwork. He did a terrific job, I think! Ethan already likes to dig in his "box".

Here is a picture of most of our yard. You can see the orange tree we planted as well as the Japanese maple and one of the Crepe Myrtles. It is so fun and rewarding to see our yard coming together.

Notice the curvature of the edge of the grass and the border to keep it in...I had a part in that I have to say it looks great! Actually, it was all Kevin I think...I just drank his beer and said "Looks good, dude."

Good call on the cat cover...you don't want me to display my thoughts on cats in this venue because I would have quite a lot of negative things to say. Nice job though Kev. Manya good time was had in the family sand box though! It is a little boys dream to have you hand him a spade and say, "Dig, boy!"

Now stop writing on your blog and get on a plane and get out here! It's snowing like CRAZY right now, but it'll be sunny tomorrow and melt away by 10 AM.

Have a good flight! Can't wait to see you guys!

Your place was great and we invited the local high school kids over for a kegger in honor of Kevin. You may not have a job by the time you get back. The sandbox looks great.

As for the cats I have a permanent solution to that problem that could involve dangerous and toxic chemicals or we could have high powered firearm training ground for EJ.

John, I think our whole family would vote for your plan to rid the Schenk neighborhood of cats, come on by Opal Lane and take care of them here too. We might not be very popular with the neighbors though! Nana VE
