Last week Monday we took Ethan and Morgan to San Fransisco for the morning. Ethan has been talking about the Golden Gate Bridge for quite some time, so we thought it was time to take him there to see it in person. We had a great day with them and enjoyed the cool temps SF has to offer in the summertime.
Our first stop was Golden Gate park where we let the kids run wild for a while. This is what I got when I asked them both to stand under the "wave" for a picture. Thanks for following directions Ethan:)
Morgan on the big sea turtle.
And this is what I got when I asked them to sit by daddy on the stairs. These stairs were decorated with hand painted tiles, they were beautiful.
Our next stop was Pier 39 for a little lunch at Bubba Gumps and our first glimpse of the bridge.
And then we went to see the bridge. (yes, we did zig zag all over the city, but it worked) The fog had just lifted about an hour before we made it to the bridge so it was fun to see a little blue sky too.
We had a great day, but in light of my sister's "full disclosure post" over on The Jung's blog, these pictures don't show the crabby mommy and daddy as we looked for a parking spot and then realized we'd have to buy a $2 bag of skittles to get change for the parking meter. Nor do they show the fighting Ethan and Morgan that resulted in no skittles on the way home...Ah a day in the life. It was fun to enjoy some time with just the older two though and let Hudson and Brooklyn get spoiled by Nana.

Wow, with the high temperatures out there I bet you would never have thought you would have a sweatshirt on. Looks like you had fun...even if the kids were not angels
