We had a few celebrations for Morgan as well. Here are the pictures!
The first order of business when Opa and Oma got here was to pick out Morgan's "big girl bike". The tradition is that Opa and Oma get the kids a big bike when they turn three. We appreciate this tradition! Apparently Morgan was quite picky about her bike. I'm told that she had to sit on them all and try to ride them before she made her selection.
She also got a new Tinkerbell helmet with a matching bell for her bike. The bell was one requirement for her bike.
She hopped right on and did a great job right away.
On the front of the bike is a little bag that came with a stuffed cat. When she got back from her first ride around the block, she had to tell me right away that the kitty slept the whole way!
We had an ice cream cake Sunday night to celebrate with Opa and Oma.
There were 2 presents waiting for Morgan when she woke up on her birthday morning. One from us and one from Ethan. Here you get to see Morgan's just out of bed look. See how "great those curls are" first thing in the morning???
Morgan is full of expression all the time. Here she just realized the Ethan got her a Princess Aurora Barbie. She was thrilled!
We got her a little make-up hair kit. It came complete with a flat iron and blow dryer. She loves being able to do what mommy does in the morning.
My parents got her a remote control car just like brother.
I had decided quite some time ago that I wanted to make a princess doll cake for Morgan's birthday. That was part of the reason Ethan's gift to her was a princess barbie, I needed it for the cake. I used the Pampered Chef Batter bowl to make the dome part and I ended up adding another layer of cake under that. I still had to take poor Aurora's legs off to fit her in. I was pretty happy with how it turned out. It was a lot of fun to make.
Here are the party girls. I had all Morgan's princess dresses hanging up so the girls could put them on when they got to our house. I also had their mommies help them make tiaras so we could be like real princesses. This was my first party for Morgan with her friends. It was amazing how quiet the party was compared to Ethan's. For the most part the girls just played quietly in Morgan's room. It was fun and we'll definitely do it again!
Annika really got into the dressing up and wore her tiara the whole time. Here she's giving us a little dance show.
Morgan's own pink soccer ball. She loves being like brother. Notice Morgan changed from Aurora to Tinkerbell. (So grateful for all the hand-me-down dresses she has!)
Morgan was so wired after her party that she didn't nap. However she was so exhausted at dinner that before we knew it she laid her head down and went to sleep. That princess stuff is hard work!
We love you Mo!

Aww! Everything turned out so cute! And i actually LOVE the morning bed head!!
There is so many things I love about this post! Those pictures of Morgan and her expressions are priceless! You are so funny about the barbie present from Ethan used as a duel function for the cake. IT looked really good, Lyndsay! I love that little girl make up gifts now include a flat iron and blow dryer? If it really works is she going to start tackling those unruly curly mornings? I love her and her hair. So sweet! You have been busy with 4 birthdays in a little over a month. I probably would have lumped them all together...maybe down the road. BTW: Last night I had a dream that I had triplet boys. I was so unsure how I would fit them all in the crib with James, he takes up most of the space and now rolls! Good thing I am name guru because I had at least that part taken care of. I really enjoyed your last couple posts about the twins. Your honesty and geniune love makes you such a great mom. Your children are a blessing and they are blessed to have you as their mom.
I wish I could have been there for the party...then I could wear a dress to make Kevin feel more normal. All of that princess stuff makes me glad I have a boy and scared of girls...very scared.
