We have a great U-pick blueberry patch near our house, so the first week and a half of summer break we headed there a few times. They have acres of bushes to pick from and they also have a bounce house, play structure, sand box and putting green for the kids to play on. So we put the kids to work first with the promise of play time afterwards. It was a lot of fun and we got a lot of yummy blueberries!
Serious work!
The little girls more or less ate all the berries they picked. I made sure to tip generously!
They also had a strawberry patch with delicious strawberries. They tasted like eating candy.
We took a walk on Father's Day and finally convinced Morgan to take off her training wheels. Kevin ran beside her on the side walk a few times and then she was off. We went to school later that day to practice with more space and she did awesome turning. A few days later and she can start on her own. We are very proud of her and I think she's pretty proud of herself too. One thing I've come to realize with four kids, we seem to be celebrating some sort of milestone quite often. I love it!
