Dress up

I have a little boy who loves dress up as much, if not more than his sisters. I wanted to make sure to capture this free-spirit, imagination stage, so here are a few dress-up pictures I've taken over the last couple months.

Headed to the bus stop, most days Hudson is wearing some type of dress up something-or-other to the bus stop. I love how they have no inhibitions at this age. If they feel like wearing it, they wear it, if they feel like saying it, they say it (not always a good thing), if they feel like doing it, they do it (again not always a good thing). We certainly do a lot of laughing over here at our two little three-year-olds.

Spiderman gets worn at least 5 of the 7 days a week. This costume also comes with gloves....super annoying to put on limp three year old fingers multiple times a day. And little sis can't be left out of the super hero dress!

Brooklyn's hair.....many of you have heard the saga of this girls hair, some of you have not. About a year ago I noticed that she was losing a lot of hair, more hair than normal. I would pull clumps of hair out whenever I brushed it. It got quite thin and I finally brought her in to the Dr. They did some blood work, but never found anything conclusive other than being a little low on iron. The best they can figure is that she had some virus that caused her hair to fall out. It is now growing in, very thick and quite curly. However, only the roots are curly, the ends are still straight. The result is what you see above. She has wild, lion-like hair all the time, unless I put a pony in. I comb it most mornings, but you can't really tell. If you ask her about her hair she will tell you that it fell out but is coming back. The poor girl is traumatized by me telling everyone and talking about it. For awhile she would say, "Don't talk about my hair!" We will see what she ends up with!

We have had the most mild winter. We are finally getting some colder weather and some rain. Ethan has worn pants to school only 5 days all winter, otherwise he wears shorts and his Nike socks. Hudson of course has to be like big brother, so he has taken to wearing basketball shorts nearly every day with long socks too (not pictured here).

Waiting for the bus in the morning.

Hudson ready to go the bus stop one afternoon. If you look closely you can see the 7 rainbow loom bracelets he has on his arm. He went through a two week phase of serious obsession with all his bracelets.

The kids favorite babysitter was a homecoming queen candidate so the girls were excited to go to the game and watch her and then pose with her in her tiara and beautiful dress. Hudson didn't want his picture taken with a princess and Ethan was somewhere with his buddies.

I love the picture of Hudson all the way down the block dressed up! What fun stages the kids are at! Brooklyn sounds like Chloƫ-- she will tell me not to talk about her too;) Your kids are getting so big!
