Today Ethan and I had the opportunity to go to an Alpaca farm. Alpacas are animals that look a lot like llamas and are raised primarily for their fur. They make the fur into nice soft yarn. Alpacas live in South America, but they came to the United States in 1984. They were interesting animals to see. Ethan LOVES to pet all animals, so he loved chasing the alpacas around and petting them. He also enjoyed seeing the chickens and trying to pet them too. Chickens don't like to be petted. We also got to go on a tractor ride, all the way down the bumpy driveway! Such fun!

Our first up close look at the alpacas.

IN the pen with "cows" as Ethan kept calling them, even though he actually did a pretty good job of pronouncing alpaca.

Is it just me or does that llamas hair look alot like ethans in the last picture. Ethan is much cuter than him of course, but I though that I sould at least point it out.
Good observation John. Actually some of the ladies there thought the baby alpacas' hair felt like Ethans...
cool my friend from school owns an alpaca farm
That's funny...Kev and Lyndsay's little alpaca! Hahaha
I also think it's funny that John is always drawn to the pictures and makes comments on what he sees. I wonder if John even reads what is written...I'm guessing not since he called it a llama! Just kidding John!
I would have loved to see Eth chase around the chickens to pet them with the chickens being freaked out of their minds. The "toss feed" is also classic. If a kid has his hand out for more than three seconds and nothing is happening the inevitable "here, eat this!" throw is going to happen!
I also want to hear the story of how Kara broke the club! Hahaha Aunts and uncles sometimes have the problem of getting TOO into it with their nephews (I speak from personal experience).
