Life

I thought it was about time for a picture update on life around our house. Enjoy!
We decided to sleep in on the first day of the balloon festival in town a few weeks ago and catch it on the second day. Turns out that was a bad idea. On Saturday 10-15 balloons launched, and on Sunday it was too windy for any of them to launch. We tried to make the best of it though and did enjoy watching the balloons inflate.

Hudson and Brooklyn no longer get bottles before bed so we had to create a new routine. They drink their sippys and listen to books. Their favorites are the touch and feel books. It is amazing how well they sit and listen.

Both babies are pulling up on everything now. Hudson still can't sit himself down and cries until we help him. Brooklyn is a pro though and gets everywhere she wants. She is primarily crawling on all four now, Huds is still army crawling and wearing holes in all his shorts.

Hudson's newest trick is climbing up our little slide. He then turns himself around and either slides off the back, or tries to slide down the slide face first.

"Mom, you should take a picture of this." ~Ethan

Ethan is in the middle of soccer season and he is loving it. True to his nature he is a little reserved, he doesn't like to get right in the mix of it all. His coach is actually really good at having them play positions. He listens very well to his coach and will only play where she tells him to play.

Hudson was having quite a conversation on my mom's cell phone when we were watching the game the other morning.

My sister was just saying on Saturday how she felt that 12-18 months was really hard. I don't really remember that w/ Ethan and Morgan, but I'm sure I felt it. Then on Sunday I remembered why it is hard. Both H and B have been super clingy and both wanting to be held and played with lately. And of course given the choice between mom and dad it is usually mommy they want. They have some increased independence with crawling and standing, but they get frustrated when they can't do what they want. Ah well, as with all of parenting it's a stage that will be over soon;)

The burn against Kevin in this post is too easy ..so I won’t even talk about how finally he got a book that caters to his intellect. Great pics of the kids and Brenda is counting the days until she can see them.
